‘Start Something Special’ Campaign
After roughly twenty years Honda put RPA, their AOR, up for review. Not good. So we all rolled up our sleeves and got to work to try to save the agency. What we came up with not only did that, but set the tone for the next five years of work. To help support the launch of the campaign we created these simple spots to demonstrate how people don't just think of their Honda's as cars, but as friends.

To further support the ‘Start Something Special’ campaign, we launched Hondastories.com, a hub of feel good stories that showcased just how special the relationship is between people and their Hondas. To kick off the intiative we met Mairead. She and her family have been loyal Honda owners for years, and her fiance suffers from juvenile arthritis in his knees which makes it difficult for him to get into low cars. She wrote Honda and kindly requested to barrow 3 black Honda CR-Vs (a higher ground clearance vehicle) for her wedding. They happily obliged and we decided to do a little more. The wedding video had over 1,000,000 organic views and help jumpstart the story collecting at hondastories.com.

Car and Driver invited 1200 of their most loyal readers to come evaluate the 2014 Honda Accord, Toyota Camry, Hyundai Sonata, Nissan Altima and Ford Fusion. The events took place in four cities, over four consecutive weekends - and we brought cameras. The Accord drove away the winner, and this is what was said.

Dario Franchiti (Indy 500 Champ)
In 2015 Dario Franchiti sat on top of the Indy race world. We invited him back to Indy to put the all-new Honda Accord through its paces on the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Unprovoked he gave it his endorsement. It did help that Honda paid for his racecar.
